Filing finally closed at 6pm this evening. I am happy to announce that as of right now I am your unopposed candidate for the 177th Criminal District Court!
Last Thursday, I officially filed to be on the ballot. It was awesome to have my greatest supporters there – my wife Kellie, my little boy Zachary and my parents.
Amazingly, when I was at the Republican Party Headquarters to file, I was asked by one of the staffers if a recently found Bible belonged to me. It was actually a Bible that I had left in my old desk drawer, when I worked there…ten years ago! When I opened the Bible, I saw inside signatures from my grandmother who passed away in 2005 and my grandfather who passed in 2002. It was as if they too where there with us Thursday morning. It made the morning very special.
I look forward to working hard through the primary, and then march on to victory in November when we can put our conservative values back on the benches of Harris County.
